Spiced Sweet Potato Casserole

My daughter just asked me to make this tonight:

1 can of yams (2 pound 8 ounce)
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup cream
2 eggs
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ginger

Put everything but 1/2 of the yams into a blender. Cover and turn on high just until blended. Add remaining yams and blend again. Pour into casserole dish and cook at 325 degrees for 45 minutes.

Oh, this does sound really good! And simple! You know, I've never ever tasted a yam.

I have never tasted yam either. I think this casserole would taste really good. Thanks for sharing the recipe! :)
