Making Cookies

Have you ever made cookies and they all come out different sizes? Try using a properly sized ice cream scoop next time. Your cookies will all come out the same size.

Double-Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies

1 1/2 cups sugar
2 sticks of butter, softened
1 egg
3 cups quick-cooking oats
1 cup chocolate chips
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoons vanilla
1 1/4 cups flour
1/3 cup cocoa
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt

Mix the sugar, butter, egg, water and vanilla together. Mix in remaining ingredients. Drop by rounded teaspoonsfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool on cooling rack.

Note: I am not a fan of semi sweet chocolate, so while this recipes calls for semi-sweet, I use milk chocolate.

Great tip - I use that method when I make tamales.

That cookie recipe sounds awesome! ;-)

All the same size? What's the fun in that! I want all the big ones for myself, because each cookie has the same number of calories, right?

Wow, I love cookies! Especially those that are made of oatmeal. They're delicious and healthy. Though I'd prefer an ordinary plain oatmeal cookies... well, with some chocolate cookies. :D
