Blueberry Dump Cake

Have you ever made a dump cake? They are the easiest things in the world to make:

1 box yellow cake mix
4 cups of blueberries (fresh or frozen)
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix together the blueberries, sugar and cinnamon. Pour into a 13x9 casserole dish. Now take the dry cake mix and pour over the blueberries. Do not mix or stir, just pour it over. Finally, pour the melted butter over the top, covering the whole cake. Again, do not mix or stir. Bake for 30 minutes or until light brown.

I'm not a strawberry person, but many people have tried this with strawberries also and loved it.

If I recall correctly, the leader at my Weight Watchers meeting mentioned something similar, which could be "lightened up" for fewer calories. She said it could be done with any frozen fruit. I wrote it down somewhere, so I'll have to find it and see how similar it is to this one.

I enjoy your blog very much -- thanks!
