Sundays In My City

Unknown Mami hosts a wonderful meme called Sundays In My City.

 Unknown Mami
I love fruits and vegetables. Just this past week, my daughter introduced me to small little fruit and veggie stand here in our city. I bought two nectarines and loved them!! I've been back a few times since now and everything I've tried, I've just loved. I actually learned that Lane Farms has two produce stands within a couple of miles of my house. They both actually had different offerings when we visited.

Hope you're having a great weekend!!

  3. Whenever I see a "veggies" sign I chuckle over one I saw a few years ago where they spelled it "vegies" which was in itself funny - - - but when it was a professionally made sign it was even funnier! How many people do you suppose had a hand in making that sign and NONE of them could spell????

  4. Our fresh produce store closed, and I really miss having local fruits and vegetables.

  5. I love roadside fruit stands and farmer's markets. We see a lot of them here, and it's a great way to get fresh produce.

  8. I am fortunate enough to have quite a few places where I can buy farm fresh veggies and I just don't do it! I live within walking distance of a grocery store, so I "easy out" and just buy my produce there when I know it'd be better at the farm market.

Love what Keetha said about the Vegie sign being done by a professional - what a hoot.

  9. You know, I spent years thinking I didn't like nectarines until I tried one that was perfectly ripe. Turns out I love nectarines.
