Corn Bread and Hot Dogs

We like to buy those boxes of Jiffy Corn Bread Mix. My daughter found a recipe that is so fun. You cut up hot dogs into the batter before cooking and you end up with a casserole version of corn dogs.

Enjoy,

Audrey :)

Now that's a truly great idea. However, I'm hungry so everything sounds really terrific. I love the hotdog casserole!

That recipe sounds yummy.
I like corn dogs the traditional way though. It's a lot of fun eating a corn dog on a stick. :D

I wonder if you were to lay the hotdogs out intact, about an inch apart, and bake it that way, if you couldn't then "cut" the corn dog out. I bet that would work - you could even put it on a skewer at that point if you really wanted to. Probably wouldn't taste exactly the same, but deep frying is not the healthiest way to go :)

Thanks for the idea! I'm going to stock up on Jiffy mixes next time I do some cross border shopping (we don't have them in Canada).
