Each Friday, Kahlani, over at
http://www.islandlife808.com/ hosts a wonderful meme called Aloha Friday. It's the end of the week, a chance to relax and get ready for the weekend. To celebrate Aloha Friday, you ask a question and answer other questions.
My question for this week:
How long do you keep leftovers?I will only keep them 2-3 days. I've taken the California food handling certification courses and I just can't store them any longer. What about you?
Audrey :)
Until someone eats them - lol. A couple of days I guess and if they didn't get eaten I throw them out.
ReplyDeleteWell...confession time....we will only eat leftovers once, and then they'll ususally sit in the fridge forever !!!! Isn't that so gross !!!
ReplyDeleteCleaning out the fridge....um...I usually find leftovers that have been in there so long that the smell will bowl you over....
ReplyDeleteyeah, I'm bad at that.

With 2 teenage boys, leftovers don't exist. lol My AF
ReplyDeleteat most 3 days.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you, 2-3 days max, especially if it's meat.
ReplyDeleteDepends on what it is. Usually they disappear within 2-3 days. Otherwise I clean out the fridge once a week before I go grocery shopping and I throw out whatever I find at that point.
ReplyDeleteI usually clean out the fridge once a week, so between 1 and 6 days. If I know it won't get eaten, I throw it out right away.
ReplyDeleteWith my sister home, we don't tend to have many leftovers lol
ReplyDeletedepends on how fast they get eaten. :) Usually 3-5 days. (or sometimes forgotten in the back of the fridge)
ReplyDeleteI am really bad about leftovers I have it down pretty good with our family so i tend to keep them for only 1 maybe 2. If we have a party or bbq I make sure to pack plates for guests to take home so I don't have to worry about a fridge full of leftovers. :)
ReplyDeleteAbout the same. 2-3 days. We don't eat them more than once though. Sometimes they sit there longer than they should. I don't usually throw the food away until I'm ready to put the bag of garbage outside, then it all goes in.
