I often do a whole chicken ...That does sound good. I often do a whole chicken in the slow cooker and use the leftovers for other recipes, and to make soup and stock. I've also found that if I REALLY want a lot of extra chicken for later, I can tuck a few extra chicken breasts in the crockpot.
